Very small total's of butterflies today with just 3 Large Whites, 1 Comma, 8 Small Heaths and 8 Meadow Browns.

The lovely weather brought out a late surge of butterflies which included 3 Small Whites, 8 Large Whites, 3 Comma, 4 Red Admirals, 10 Meadow Browns, 3 Common Blues, 13 Small Heaths and 2 Peacock.

On site today was 6 Large Whites, 3 Small Whites, 1 Common Blue, 5 Small Heaths, 1 Small Copper, 4 Meadow Browns, 2 Red Admirals and 1 Comma.
Wednesday 12th September
Not surprisingly due to the weather there was very little in the way of butterflies, total's today included 4 Small Whites, 1 Small Copper and 1 Red Admiral.
Tuesday 11th September
A Small Copper was seen this morning, also a total of 4 Large Whites, 2 Small Whites, 2 Red Admirals, 2 Comma and 4 Small Heaths.

Its certainly starting to get quieter out there with just 4 Large Whites, 2 Small Whites, 1 Red Admiral and 4 Small Heaths.

The poor weather certainly didn't help today, and there was very little noted on site. Total's today were just 2 Red Admirals, 2 Meadow Browns, 2 Small Heaths, 1 Comma, 3 Small Whites and 3 Large Whites.

It was another very quiet day but it did produce a nice Painted Lady, 2 Red Admirals, 2 Wall Browns, 2 Small Tortoiseshells, 3 Small Heaths, 3 Small Whites, 1 Comma, and 4 Large Whites.
Tuesday 21st August
Today was another poor one with very little numbers around the site. Today's total's included 4 Small Whites, 4 Large Whites, 3 Small Heaths, 2 Red Admirals, 2 Small Tortoiseshells and 1 Common Blue.

A very poor day for Butterflies with just 3 Small Whites, 3 Red Admirals and 1 Small Tortoiseshell.

Butterflies noted today was 3 Peacocks, 8 Red Admirals, 19 Large Whites, 7 Small Whites, 3 Gatekeepers, 1 Wall Brown, 6 Marbled Whites, 2 Small Skippers, 1 Large Skipper, 7 Common Blues, 26 Meadow Browns and 2 Comma.
Wednesday 1st August
It was a quiet day which was a surprise considering the lovely weather, species noted were 4 Red Admirals, 13 Large Whites, 7 Small Whites, 3 Comma, 20 Meadow Browns, 1 Wall Brown (The first this year), 4 Marbled Whites and 5 Common Blues.

Today was dominated by Large Whites with a total of 45 present around the site, also 12 Small Whites, 20 Marbled Whites, 6 Gatekeepers, 7 Small Heaths, 10 Ringlets, 3 Red Admirals, 7 Common Blues, 25 Meadow Browns, 4 Peacocks and 2 Small Skippers.

Total's today included 35 Marbled Whites, 6 Gatekeepers, 10 Ringlets, 10 Large Whites, 11 Small Whites, 6 Red Admirals, 8 Common Blues, 11 Small Heaths, 2 Comma, 39 Meadow Browns and 3 Peacock.
Thursday 5th July
A very hot and sunny day once again produced some good numbers of butterflies including 44 Marbled Whites, 3 Comma, 9 Ringlets, 20 Meadow Browns, 6 Gatekeepers, 15 Large Whites, 10 Small Whites, 7 Red Admirals, 2 Peacocks, 8 Common Blues and 18 Small Heaths.

As yesterday with another good total of 33 Marbled Whites, 18 Meadow Browns, 6 Large Whites, 4 Red Admirals, 6 Small Heaths, 3 Common Blues, 2 Comma and 3 Small Whites.
Wednesday 27th June
It was a good day for Marbled White butterflies with a total of 30 across the site, also 25 Meadow Browns, 13 Common Blues, 9 Small Heaths, 5 Red Admirals, 4 Large Whites, 1 Comma, 2 Peacock and 5 Small Whites.
Thursday 21st June
There was a good number of butterflies on site today including 30 Meadow Browns, 6 Marbled Whites, 14 Common Blues, 3 Comma, 4 Red Admirals, 3 Small Tortoiseshells, 9 Large Whites, 6 Small Whites and 13 Small Heaths.
Wednesday 20th June
Total's today included 3 Marbled Whites, 17 Meadow Browns, 8 Common Blues, 10 Small Heaths, 10 Large Whites, 8 Small Whites, 2 Red Admirals, 2 Peacocks and 1 Comma.
Thursday 14th June
It was another good day with the first Marbled Whites on show with a total of 5 present around the site, also 18 Meadow Browns, 10 Small Heaths, 17 Common Blues, 2 Red Admirals, 3 Commas, 3 Peacock, 8 Large Whites, 4 Small Whites and 1 Small Tortoiseshell.
Wednesday 13th June
The number of Meadow Browns numbers increased to 25, and there was also a good number of Small Heath butterflies with at least 30 present around the site. Others included 4 Large Whites, 7 Small Whites, 2 Red Admirals and 12 Common Blues.
Thursday 7th June
Total's today included 10 Large Whites, 3 Small Whites, 25 Small Heaths, 3 Meadow Browns, 2 Peacock, 1 Speckled Wood, 2 Red Admirals and 11 Common Blues.
Wednesday 6th June
A good number of butterflies today with a total of 8 Meadow Browns, 9 Large Whites, 5 Small Whites, 19 Common Blues, 1 Orange Tip, 18 Small Heaths, 2 Speckled Wood, 2 Comma and 2 Red Admirals.
Thursday 31st May
Very similar to yesterday with a total of 21 Small Heaths, 14 Common Blues, 4 Large Whites, 3 Small Whites, 5 Red Admirals, 7 Speckled Woods,1 Orange Tip and 3 Comma.

It was a good day for butterflies with a total of 25 Small Heaths, 18 Common Blues, 7 Large Whites, 3 Small Whites, 3 Red Admirals, 3 Speckled Woods, 1 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Orange Tip and 3 Comma.

Very Similar sightings to yesterday with a total of 2 Orange Tips, 3 Commas, 3 Red Admirals, 5 Large Whites, 2 Common Blue, 2 Small Heath, 1 Speckled Wood and 1 Small Tortoiseshell.

A total of 5 Orange Tips were on site today, also 2 Comma, 2 Large White, 2 Small White, 1 Small Heath and 2 Peacock.

Still a little quiet with just 2 Orange Tips, 1 Small White, 1 Large White, 2 Peacocks and 1 Small Tortoiseshell.
Thursday 3rd May
The first Small White butterfly was seen today, also 2 Peacock and 1 Comma.

An Orange Tip was the first this year, also 2 Peacock, 1 Small Tortoiseshell, 2 Comma and 1 Red Admiral.
Friday 20th April
2 Comma were seen today.

A little bit of butterfly activity today with 2 Peacock, and 2 Comma.
Thursday 11th January
A Surprise today with the first butterfly sighting which was a Peacock at the bottom lake.
